International Business Law Consortium (IBCL) operates under the auspices of the Center for International Legal Studies (www.cils.org) - a non-profit law research, scholarship, training, and publications institute which was established in 1976 and headquartered in Salzburg, Austria. The Center works with institutions of higher learning, governmental and non-governmental international organisations, and professional bodies around the world. The IBLC brings together over 97 law firms, accountancy firms and affiliated professionals with more than 1300 professionals across the globe. It offers members an international web of reliable contacts and serves as a platform to cultivate and manage legal knowledge, to optimise the delivery of trans-national legal services and to promote its members' professional development and their practices. To achieve its aims, it is paramount that the IBLC preserve the quality that exists among its members. For this reason, membership is by invitation only.
